Freezing Back Cell Lines

1.) Mix a solution of 30% glycerol and 70% LB* 

2.) Filter Sterilize using a syringe 

3.) Mix 500μL LB/glycerol and 500 μL of an overnight culture 

4.) Quick freeze on dry ice and 95% ethanol

5.) Store at –80^oC

*To make 30% glycerol/70% LB:

            - 3.5 mL LB

            - 1.89 g Glycerol
